This soulful vintage elopement on the Isle of Skye begun at Brother’s Point. It was the perfect elopement location for these two kindred spirits, who dreamt of having a quiet ceremony near the sea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rebekah and Tom, are self-confessed \u201cnot centre of attention people\u201d, <\/em>and so instead of feeling torn between who to invite or spend time with on their wedding day they decided to elope and enjoy an entire day where they could just be fully present with one another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their elopement adventure started with a slow drive up from London, with a few stops along the way, finally settling in at The Crofter\u2019s House<\/a>, situated in Camustianavaig.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The couple spent a slow, intentional morning together before heading out for their soulful vintage elopement on Isle of Skye<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We arrived at The Crofter\u2019s House, which is decorated thoughtfully with a soft minimalist style, to create a calm peaceful retreat, and the large windows flood the cosy cottage with lots of gorgeous light. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rebekah and Tom had already seen each other\u2019s outfits,  so there was no need to fuss over old traditions or get ready on their own. Rebekah needed an extra hand getting dressed in her Vintage 1920s Dress, that she lovingly sourced and restored for their elopement on Isle of Skye.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The couple had an intentionally slow start to the day, opting to savour the moment while they quietly sipped their coffee and then leisurely started getting ready together. Tom wore a barong tagalog (a traditional Filipino Shirt for formal occasions), an ode to his heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The couple\u2019s laid back approach and release of old traditions, not only felt true to them, but is also a wonderful example of how a relaxed morning can truly set the tone for the rest of your day. Your accommodation can play a vital role in adding to the aesthetic and feel of your elopement imagery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We then headed out for a cold, rainy and windy elopement ceremony at Brother\u2019s Point, Isle of Skye<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Considering how popular Quiraing is, the couple opted for a quieter location at Brother\u2019s Point on the Isle of Skye. We made our way out there through the cold and misty rain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rebekah and Tom were more than happy to lace up their Dr Martens Boots and embrace the wild weather for their ceremony. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We managed to find a sheltered spot close to the sea, just as Rebekah had pictured. The couple said their vows and did a traditional handfasting ceremony as the wind howled, as if it was signalling this significant moment of change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a very emotional ceremony we wandered down to the water\u2019s edge where the couple could take a moment to soak up their surroundings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We said our goodbyes to Brother\u2019s Point and headed off to the Quiraing for the couple to see this popular Isle of Skye location<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s no wonder that this is such a popular location for hikers and elopers. There are breathtaking views as far as the eyes can see and no shortage of trails where you can wander off for an intimate moment together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sky danced between sunny and stormy as these two climbed over trickling streams, pausing every now and then to consciously take it all into their memory. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Quiraing certainly gave us a dramatic display of lighting to play with as we slowly explored the landscape. We took our time allowing these two gentle souls plenty of space to enjoy being in each other’s arms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We finished up the day by exploring the magical Fairy Glen<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Rebekah and Tom had been to Scotland before, but never to the Isle of Skye and so they wanted to enjoy some time there. And while it\u2019s quite hard to find a moment all to yourself at this popular tourist attraction we did manage to steal a few quiet moments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They nestled into a tree that had blown over many seasons ago, again just taking a moment to pause and reflect before exploring the rest of the magical Fairy Glen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

They walked about the fairy ring – which I would love to tell you an enchanting story of how these came about.Unfortunately the stones are actually put there by tourists (even as locals repeatedly dismantle it) and have a negative impact on the local fauna. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

True to Rebekah and Tom, we took a mindful pause as I explained the importance and impact of this site, before ending the day with a glass of champagne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is where we parted ways with the couple as they headed off for an evening celebration at  Scorrybreac<\/a> restaurant for some modern Scottish cuisine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
